What is Miqat for Umrah?

Abdulmaaz22 Jun, 2021Travel

Miqat or Meeqat are the prescribed boundaries that a pilgrim can only cross after having assumed the state of Ihram when going for Umrah or Hajj rituals. If a pilgrim, arriving for any of the two pilgrimages of Islam, crosses the Meeqat boundary without entering Ihram, a penalty i.e., Damm is due as expiation.
