Hannah Montana is an American teen pop singer and actress. She was born Hana Monet Van Pelt on December 3, 1987, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She first achieved fame as a child singer with the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana. The show ran from 2003 to 2007. After the show ended, she released her first album, Hannah Montana: The Movie, in 2007.
