What is freight car and how does it work in railways?

Lontronrail02 Mar, 2023Business

A freight car, often known as a goods waggon, is a train car used to transport freight. The majority of early freight cars were composed of wood. About 1896 saw the introduction of the first all-steel automobiles, nearly eliminating the wooden model within 30 years. Although modern freight cars' design and size vary greatly, they can all be traced back to three fundamental types used since the early 1800s: the open-top car, the boxcar, and the flatcar.
