EN ISO 11612 Workwear – Protection from Heat and Fire Hazards The EN ISO 11612 standard applies to clothing designed to protect individuals from short periods of exposure to heat and fire, as well as molten metals splashes. ISO 11612Certificate’s fabrics are able to resist a combination of different heat types includingradiant and convective heat. The heat resistance and overall mechanical strength of all EN ISO 11612 certified garments are tested by exposing them to 180°C heat. To meet the standards, the fabric must not catch fire, melt, or shrink by 5% of more. The garments must also meet nfpa 2112 standards.
