Paint technology course is a discipline involving the study of different ingredients like polymers, pigments and resins used in making paints of different varieties. It also involves getting a clear understanding of the chemistry and the functions of all the different ingredients used for making paints of different varieties. Candidates taking up the course are also able to get a vivid understanding of what goes into making good quality paint. The course also brings candidates face to face with the different varieties of paints, their uses, their manufacturing and the procedures used for paint application. The ones who graduate in this field are called paint technologists. Some of the most important areas of paint technology are paint applications and paint and oil media.
