Excellent question! A breading table is a surface that you use to coat your food in breadcrumbs. Then you fry the breaded food, put it on another plate, and then eat it. In early times, breading tables were mostly not as innovative as today, like the Henny penny breading table. For example, if you want to make chicken nuggets, you would first cut up your chicken into cubes. Then you?d dip the cubes one at a time into a bowl of flour (or maybe cornstarch?it?s up to you), coating them evenly on all sides. After this you?d dip the floured chicken pieces into beaten eggs. Then onto the breading table they go! You?d roll each piece of egg-dipped chicken around in some breadcrumbs until they?re nicely covered.
