Liver Transplant Surgery in India is usually done as a life-saving procedure, and involves removing part or all of the diseased liver and replacing it with a healthy one. Common reasons why one may require this surgery includes alcoholic liver disease, cancers that start in the liver, fatty liver disease and cirrhosis caused by chronic hepatitis C. Patients with acute liver failure may also require a transplant.
