Hajj is mandatory for such a person who can afford its expense. While Umrah is not compulsory and can be performed at any time of the year. Hajj pilgrimage brings us more rewards than Umrah. The fundamental differences between Hajj and Umrah rises due to their rites. Some rites like Tawaf, Sa?I, taqsir, and the drinking of Zamzam are the same in both. But rites like Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, stoning of Satan and, the sacrificial intention is only performed Hajj pilgrimage.
