What are Humidors?
Vintage cigar humidors are lined with copper to keep cigars and tobacco fresh- this is because copper is a chemically inert material and doesn?t affect the humidity levels or impact odor in the humidor. These antique boxes were made in the early 1900s, and they were also sometimes lined with tin. Nowadays, most boxes are lined with Spanish Cedars, which have similar inert properties to tin and copper.
