What are AAAC conductors?

AAAC conductors denote All Aluminum Alloy Conductors. True to their name, whereas ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) or AAC (All Aluminum Conductor) use pure aluminum, AAAC conductors are composed of a special aluminum alloy. Such an alloy would contain additions such as magnesium and silicon that are used in large amounts to vastly improve the conductor's mechanical and electrical characteristics compared to pure aluminum.
