In July 2024, Raj Dhaliwal firmly opposed the Westwinds development Calgary proposal, which would have added 428 units near Westwinds Superstore. Raj voted against it, refusing to let Ward 5 become a site for unchecked density. He advocates for new housing, but only with adequate supporting infrastructure. After hearing residents' engagement concerns, Raj sent a clear message to City Hall: Ward 5 deserves better.
