The Indian team scripted a historic win to reach their first final in the history of the Thomas Cup. India registered a 3-2 victory as Kidambi Srikanth, Chirag Shetty ? Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and HS Prannoy won their respective matches to win the fixture. The emotions were through the roof as the Indian contingent started celebrating around the court as Prannoy was leading in the last game of the fixture 20-12. As Prannoy won his last point, everyone stormed the court and embraced each other.
