Wat Is ONC201?
ONC201 is de nieuwste behandeling voor kankercellen waarvan is aangetoond dat ze de meeste kankercellen doden zonder schade aan gezonde cellen in het lichaam toe te brengen. Dit medicijn wordt getest in een klinische studie voor pati?nten met recidiverend glioblastoom of WHO-graad IV-gliomen met de H3 K27M-mutatie. ONC201 is een oraal actief klein molecuul dat zich op de DRD2-receptor richt en kankercellen doodt. Voor pati?nten met Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), een soort hersenkanker, komt het medicijn in aanmerking zonder histologische bevestiging.
