Functions of Warehousing: 1. Storage: It is the basic function of warehousing. Storage of any product that is in the surplus quantity that is not needed immediately and can be stored in warehouses. They are supplied when needed by the customers. 2. Price Stabilization: Warehouses play an important role in maintaining price stabilization. It is achieved by creating time utility by warehousing. Fall in the prices of goods in the off-season when their supply is in abundance and a rise in prices during the off-season can be avoided.
