Visa Requirements for Skilled Workers in the UK in 2023

The skilled worker route is for people sponsored to do specific skilled work for a Home Office licensed sponsor. This route is open to nationals of the European Economic Area (EEA) and those not nationals of the EEA. It is important to note that references to EEA nationals include Swiss nationals but do not include Irish nationals because Irish nationals have a specific status in the UK according to Section 3ZA of the Immigration Act 1971.
