Variations of the game are common

If there?s one thing that most people know about ludo, it?s that it?s a simple board game. But in fact, there are a number of variations on ludo. The two most popular types of ludo played throughout Asia and India are called carrom and Gulli Danda. In both games, players use small pieces to knock their opponents? pieces off of a board. There are also versions of ludo where you roll dice or spin a wheel to determine your moves; other versions have you move according to cards. In some versions, players try to get all their pieces across the board first; in others, they try to capture their opponent?s pieces and keep them from reaching home. No matter which variation is being played, though, what matters most is having fun with friends and family!
