When people talk about agricultural supplies, not all people think about fences. However, it is important to know that they are among the most important components of a farmland. Fences can protect crops from pests such as rabbits. They can also be used to protect plantations, native bush, shelter belts and waterways. A good fence would prevent stock from straying from one farm to another, and help in managing stock breeding in an efficient manner. They make it moving stock easy, as well as create laneways, yards and races for handling stock. Good fences forces stock to graze a wider range of plants, and allows the plants to recover after grazing. This leads to better utilization of pastures and prevents them from becoming overgrazed or too rank.
