Freehold property is a form of freehold tenure. It implies that the freeholder owns both the land and structures built on it free from any superior landlord's rights or covenants. In freehold, there are no leases or tenancies involved. Hence it also means that freeholders have unlimited rights over their houses without being subject to any legal restrictions.
