As many as 30 to 50 per cent of the population could have MTHFR gene mutation. With many mild forms of MTHFR gene mutation showing little to no symptoms, other people experience more extreme symptoms. Approximately 14 to 20 per cent of the population experiences more severe symptoms of the MTHFR gene mutation.
