The UK Spouse Visa is organized for a foreigner to obtain permission to enter the UK on the basis of being a spouse or civil partner of a British citizen. It is one among several family visas, which are exclusively generated for all couples in a legitimate and long-term relationship. The visa would allow the applicant to reside and work in the UK for the initial 30 months, with the potential for an extension and, ultimately, applying for indefinite leave to remain (ILR), subject to satisfying certain requirements.
