Trombopag 25 mg (Eltrombopag Olamine) is used to treat the low platelet count in the body due to ITP, or chronic immune idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, and HCV or chronic hepatitis C virus. This medicine is also used to treat aplastic anemia. The eltrombopag in the drug is a thrombopoietin agonist. This helps stimulate the formation of more platelets in the body, which in turn helps prevent or reduce excessive bleeding.
