Trichomoniasis known as ?Tric? is a very common sexually transmitted disease (STD) that affects men and more frequently older women. It is caused by the protozoan parasite Trichomonas vaginalis. Most people do not know they are infected and for this reason are not treated. Trichomoniasis increases the risk of contracting other STDs.
