Gallbladder cancer (GBCA) is a rare but highly aggressive malignancy of the gallbladder epithelial lining with strong association to gallstones and chronic inflammation. Most complications are seen in the advanced stages of disease and include abdominal pain, jaundice and nausea etc. The gallbladder cancer treatment includes surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy depending on the extent of cancer. While later diagnosis is rare in cases, early detection can really be a game changer. The care of patients is multidisciplinary, and management should ideally be individualized.
