Travel Exemption Applications Open for Parents of Australians

Starting from November 1, 2021, overseas parents of Australian citizens and permanent residents can apply for a travel exemption. The announcement was made by Australia's Home Affairs Minister, Karen Andrews, on accepting applications. He said that the changes would help thousands of families reunite with their loved ones separated by the pandemic. Last year, Australia closed its borders to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. The country also stopped processing Australia PR visa applications as part of its measure to prevent people from coming to Australia.
