Pathway History: The City of Maricopa is a vibrant rural community located south of Phoenix. When Maricopa incorporated in 2003, the population was 1,040. During the following two years, its population exploded to 15,934, making it one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States. Today, that population has more than tripled in size.
