The director's loan account (DLA) is to keep track of the money that you either borrowed or lend to your company. If the amount borrowed by the company from the director is greater then the lending amount, then the DLA is in credit. If the lending amount to the director is greater than the borrowing amount by the company then the DLA is overdrawn.
