Day three of the Tokyo Olympics belonged to China and Japan as both nations bagged 7 medals each to boost their medals tally. With some great performances from their athletes, Japan have taken the top spot in the medal tally table, standing with 8 gold medals. Meanwhile, USA clinched 4 more medals in the day to take their medal count to 14. China had a good outing as well, who now sit at third spot in the table and with the maximum number of medals, 18. For the second consecutive day with no medals to show, India have slipped down to 34th place in the table with Mirabai Chanu?s silver medal the only honour so far.
