Thorong Peak Climbing requires that you are reasonably fit and have a burning desire to see some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Besides climbing to 6144m, you will also get a firsthand experience of the amazing Gurung people in this remote region. They are Buddhists and live in isolated villages, have a distinct style of architecture and deep spiritual beliefs. The trail will take you through rhododendron forests with red, white, and pink blossoms that stand in stark contrast to the usual array of greenery. The rhododendron is Nepal?s national flower emblem. Thorong Peak is situated to the south of Thorong La Pass (5146m).
