1928 Rolls-Royce Phantom car: M. Allen Quick had a difficult decision in 1928. Just before his 26th birthday, his father made him a deal: stay in the family's gold leaf company and watch your two younger siblings go to seek a college degree at MIT, and you may have whatever car you need. On the advice of a companion, Quick steered his Marmon north and drove the short distance from West Hartford, Connecticut, to the Rolls-Royce of America facility right across the border in Springfield, Massachusetts.
