The Abirapro (Abiraterone Acetate) belongs to a class of medicines called antineoplactic agents. The patients have to take this oral therapy drug to fight the cancer cells and prednisone or prednisolone to avoid and prevent the risk of getting high blood pressure, any fluid retention in the body, and a decrease in the potassium levels in the blood. This medicine can also be taken along with androgen deprivation therapy to lower testosterone levels in case of an early hormonal sensitivity in prostate cancer.
