Royal Biryani House was founded in 2017 in Bothell, Washington by three food lovers: Pradeep Datla, Raghuveer Kanakamedala, and Sai Yalamanchili. They noticed a gap in the American market for authentic Indian biryani—the rich, layered rice-and-meat dish from Hyderabad and other regions of India. Their goal was to bring the heritage, flavors, and traditions of Indian biryani to diners who might otherwise only encounter a watered-down version. They relied on family recipes handed down through generations and on firsthand research into regional cooking techniques and ingredient sourcing.
