The gargantuan sums required to fund feature-length movies are a thing of public knowledge today. However, even short films often require substantial funding. While the funding for the two film categories are not always equal, short film funding will often require fiscal, as well as technical support of some sort. There exist funding in the form of grants in Canada for the production of short films. These grants can be either partial or total.
