It is not surprising that many children struggle in math. In fact, math is the most common subject that kids seek tutoring services for help with. The reason so many children, including your child, struggle with mathematics is because they have gaps in their math knowledge. Unlike other subjects, math requires a very deep abstract thinking and logical reasoning. Math is a conceptual based subject. Math is in fact about ideas and concepts that have to be put together along with the basic learning skills to solve math problems. Math is not something where you can just memorize everything and get a good grade on the test. The subject is all about the practical application of the key concepts.
