In India, the number of young people becoming victims of drug misuse is rising quickly. It has a serious effect on every facet of their life. Adolescents lack the knowledge necessary to avoid substance abuse and to resist the alluring substance. Teenagers and young adults use drugs and alcohol abuse as a means of venting their frustrations. Reducing the prevalence of drug abuse in children and young people requires intervention. It enables youth to acquire the intrapersonal and interpersonal abilities necessary to reject dangerous drugs and make informed decisions. By emphasizing early intervention, society can move quickly toward ensuring that our nation's youth have a healthy, drug-free future.
