There are several factors that contribute to the causes of female infanticide in our society, including the traditional value system, illiteracy, household responsibilities, lack of understanding, unavailability of correct guidance, poor mobility, low self-confidence, and familial dissuasion. However, in order for equality between men and women to prevail, we must tackle the key causes of female infanticide; these causes will have to be tackled by both government agencies and NGOs, as well as all of us!
