Darjeeling Tea is classified as black tea, leaves are commonly less oxidized than typical black varieties. The unique flavour is due its genetic composition with genes from Chinese and Indian teas. Besides, the exclusive harvesting and processing also contributes to its rich taste. It�s lighter, less astringent than most black tea, but complex and layered than greens.
