American Whiskey, also called Bourbon, is a type of American whiskey, distilled from a mesh made primarily of corn. American whiskey is different. It does not have to be aged at all, but if it is aged it must be aged in used or uncharred oak barrels at no more than 62.5% alcohol by volume. When corn whiskey is aged, it is usually aged in used bourbon barrels.
