The Benefits of Offset Printing for Large-Scale Printing Projects

Kwality Offset01 Jun, 2023Business

Offset printing is a typical printing process in which the inked image is moved (or ?offset?) from a plate to a rubber blanket, then to the printable surface. When applied in conjunction with the lithographic process, which depends on the repulsion of oil and water, the offset method utilizes a flat (planographic) image carrier on which the picture to be printed receives ink from ink rollers, while the non-printing area draws a water-based film (called ?fountain solution?), remaining the non-printing fields ink-free. Newspapers, periodicals, brochures, stationery, and books are some of the usual uses. In comparison to other printing technologies, offset printing is best suited for creating huge numbers of high-quality prints in a cheap and low-maintenance way.
