A Tax Preparer calculates, files and signs-off tax returns on behalf of their clients. The client may include individuals as well as companies and businesses. Tax Preparers are typically hired when an individual or a company needs to file tax returns. This is typically once every year. It is a part of a tax preparer's job to determine the right amount of tax that an individual or a company owes. There are various types of tax preparers, each suited to different kinds of tax returns. A tax preparer is also required to register his particulars with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and sign all tax returns that he may file.
