Surgery In Infancy Led To A Calcified Stone 6 Decades Later

Sailender21 Feb, 2020Health

Jejunal Atresia is a rare genetic disorder. Patients with this disorder are born with partial absence of the fold of the stomach membrane that connects the small intestine to the back wall of the abdomen. These blockages form while the baby is still in the womb. Babies with jejunal atresia often vomit bile, have swollen abdomens, and can't poop. Surgery can help; doctors can remove the blockage and reconnect the intestine to form a continuous tract.
