(AUV) Autonomous Underwater vehicles are uncrewed underwater vehicles that travel underwater autonomously, without human input. They are part of a broader group of underwater systems known as uncrewed underwater vehicles. As early as 1957, AUVs were created, and they became a marine technology to keep an eye on. As a result of the development of the AUV technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1970, the standard for an (AUV) Autonomous Underwater Vehicle rose to a whole new level.
