South African cricketer Zubayr Hamza has been handed a nine-month ban by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after the batter admitted to an anti-doping violation. ?The sample provided by Hamza on January 17 contained Furosemide, a substance specified in Section S5 of the 2022 WADA Prohibited List. After accepting the suspension, Hamza?s period will start from March 2022, when he was originally banned and will be able to resume his career in December 2022?, the statement from ICC read.
