The introduction of rolling mill new technology and its growth then in the first half of the nineteenth century has signaled the mass manufacturing of tubes and pipes. Initially at least, rolled strips of such sheet were molded into circular cross-sections by funnels or rolls, and then just welded ass or lap together in the same intense heat forge welding process.
