Separation Function of Geotextile Membrane

Geotextile membranes can be used to separate two different types of soil. In addition to preventing the ground from becoming uneven and sinking, geotextile membranes also prevent smaller particles of finer materials from filtering into the coarser layers, preventing drainage channels between the coarser materials from being blocked allowing water to seep in soil, reducing the likelihood of flooding and standing water.
