SC Appoints Amicus to End Delays in Framing Charges

The Supreme Court of India, alarmed by long delays in framing charges that stall criminal trials, has taken action to issue pan-India guidance to enforce statutory timelines under the BNSS. It appointed senior advocate sidharth luthra as amicus curiae to assist the Court in identifying bottlenecks and suggesting reforms.
