Sanjita Chanu was banned by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) in 2018 after she had tested for an anabolic steroid testosterone prior to the World Championships in US (2017). In another blow, Indian weightlifter Sanjita Chanu has been handed a four-year ban after failing a dope test last year. The National Anti Doping Agency (NADA) on Tuesday, April 4 announced this decision.
