Blood Draw: Removal of blood, usually by venipuncture (phlebotomy, venous blood sampling). A common term for blood sampling for laboratory analysis. A procedure in which a needle is used to draw blood from a vein, usually for laboratory testing. To treat certain blood disorders, a blood draw may also be done to remove excess red blood cells from the blood. It is also called phlebotomy and venipuncture. At Access Health Care Physicians, we believe parents and guardians can contribute to the success of this test and we invite you to participate.
