Think about how to treat the room you are using as your studio. Acoustic treatment will prevent distortion and reverberation time from negatively impacting your work. Be genuine! Although a room in a shared house is never going to be adequately isolated to remove all the bleed and a severe drum solo is always going to be hard to exist in this set up, it might not be the biggest or the most professional type of studio.
