Ben Glean, who died aged 18, helped make dual sight-saving transplants happen. A record series of people donated viscera in a UK final year, with a top boost in 28 years. There were 1,575 donors, an 11% boost on a prior year. Ben Glean from Grimsby, who died aged 18, was one of those donors. He suffered a cardiac detain from undiagnosed form 1 diabetes.
