Recognizing and Understanding Liver Cancer Symptoms

The signs and symptoms of liver cancer can differ according on the disease's stage, but they may include unexplained weight loss, soreness or pain in the abdomen, swelling in the belly, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes), loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and exhaustion. Occasionally, an upper abdominal lump or tumor may also be the result of liver cancer. Notably, liver cancer symptoms may not manifest in the early stages of the illness, which can complicate the diagnosis. Treatment and early detection depend on routine testing and knowledge of risk factors.
